Amira’s Culinary Grind draws huge crowd at Gurgaon’s biggest Food Festival!
India’s top chefs like Vikas Khanna and Kunal Kapur along with MasterChef Australia contestant Sarah Todd share secret recipes at the event
Gurgaon, December 11, 2014: Amira, the premium basmati brand from the Amira Group, created a sensation at the recently organized The Gourmet High Street Festival, Gurgaon’s biggest food festival, by bringing India’s most famous and celebrated chefs to unravel their secret recipes with thousands of Gurgaon citizens at the event.
Amira presented Culinary Grind, a unique interactive platform between world-renowned chefs and the general public, witnessed top chefs including Vikas Khanna, Manish Mehrotra, Kunal Kapur and Saransh Golia, Anahita Dhondya among others weave magic on the kitchen table using the world’s best Basmati rice. Australian chef and former contestant of MasterChef Australia Sarah Todd also participated in the event and prepared some mouthwatering dishes from her recipe book for the spectators. The special event was a three-day affair starting from 5th December to 7th December 2014 and was held at the Epicentre in Gurgaon.
The highlight of the event was Chef Manish Mehrotra’s ‘Amira Session’ during which he cooked various exotic delicacies like stuffed courgette and Mediterranean red rice using the world’s best rice, Amira Basmati.
Audiences were spell-bound by the delectable dishes prepared by chefs in an effortless yet meticulous manner. All the sessions included no-holds-barred discussions with these top chefs where they unhesitatingly revealed their secret recipes behind their trademark traditional and neo-modern dishes.

A team of chefs were also doing live cooking at the Amira stall. The chefs prepared some mouth-watering dishes from a variety of Indian and international cuisines like Stuffed Courgette, Dolma, Arancicni, Mediterranean Red Rice, Hyderabadi Biryani etc. using superior quality Amira Extra Long Grain basmati rice and Amira organic red rice, which were sampled by close to 3000 visitors.
