AMIRA’s manufacturing facility is located in Gurgaon, Haryana at the outskirts of New Delhi, India.
AMIRA was the first company in India to establish a fully automated basmati rice plant with technology from the German firm BUHLER. One of the specialties of the BUHLER plant is that during the process rice grain is never touched by human hands.
AMIRA’s plant is located on a site of is 203.553 square feet (18,910 square meters ) and approximately 450 workers run the plant, which is is capable of processing 24 metric tons of rice per hour under strictest conditions of hygiene which ensure the quality of the final product.
The plant processes rice into several milling degrees and provide AMIRA’s customers with a wide variety of packaging options and we follow a rigorous process of quality assurance from the very start of our purchase of the highest quality raw materials. These are very delicately handled in terms of food safety and hygiene at the state of art manufacturing facility (it is FDA certified since 1996) and process parameters to transform the raw material into the highest quality basmati available to the consumer.
Such is the demand for our rice that we are currently at work on a new, state-of-the-art processing facility that should go into production in 2015.
